Re: Dining does and donts
I think whats probably as bad as rascism would probably be money grubers, Heck even my own parents there wills go straight to there grandchildren that was my suggestion. I would pick leaving my stuff to a kid anyday adults are greedy. When we marry everything goes to the kids. I may get hoe health care, there is nothing wrong with making sure your loved ones are taken care of. I baught my mom a car so what. I like helping people.
My buisness all the funds go towards eco friendly things. Up til college
I drove my moms 65 chevy impala, I got a new car for travel had the same car rebuilt the engine, the last time I had that car maybe 10 yrs later he was driving it & it blew up so Im sure he felt bad for the car thing thats an inside joke. Have never shopped at Walmart, have never taken my kid to Mcdonalds but his grandparents have & I dont think there is anything wrong with kids having toys in their happy meals.
Last week we did a benefit show for child soldiers in Africa. I think the whole comment about Africa was more based on people in poverty do people choose to live that way? After doing all these things for years perhaps you get jaded some of my friends set up schools in other countries its a never ending battle. You choose your battles.
I think 2 comments really doesnt deem someone rascist, general remarks are what they are but when it turns into a discussion & if that person doesnt respond with hate then that shows me that they realize thier faults and are willing to work on them. Or maybe they stop themselves & realized what an jack ass they where being.
I think the other topic discussed that led to that comment was why raise moeny in other countries when the U.S. isnt looking so hot. I also hear people from lower classes not on welfare make the same generalizations & comments on people who are things like 'I better go to work other people are depending on me' I thought that was snotty but thats that person. I think its a class issue hands down. So many peoples attitudes towards race & class change when it comes to tax payers money & how its spent. Sometimes when we do our taxes I think there should be a report on thier spending & an open suggestion box where we could say our prefrence on how the money is spent.
When filling out the census bureau form look closer at it there where so many questions on race I was apalled sure they asked for ages but I would have rather them ask more specific things geared towards childrens education, or does your street need repair?
As for my MIL she caught herself when she said that I only been over a few times since its like she may have thought about it herself because even the Obama comments stopped, she was saying what her parents said. Rebpublican Democratic Third Party we are all human & have to learn to live with eachother, When I do set out to prove things to people in real life if they have something I dont agree with I try to show them that you can not base your judgements on stereotypes & If I judged people with that same malice then I would be no better than them, to wrongs do not make a right.
Even my FI commented about people he was doing work with once on their attitudes on race especially when Obama was elected we could have declined the party but I went anyway I said something but it was classy. I have never had to deal with race issues at a work place. The people he was working with where from a low income low & behold we have to blame a general ethnic population for our societal woes. One of the main managers from his place of work came over & he is of color he is nice but doesnt know what he is doing, thats prop where affirmative action went wrong to be a token. Even I have gotten jobs that I suspect that I wasnt the most qualified because of the color of my skin & i dont think thats right I think it should be the person most qualified no matter what color, but Im sure after a generations of people not having the same oppurtunity you have to make up for it somehwere. I didnt vote for Obama I always vote Green party its always hard to choose the lesser of evils they are all corrupt. My dad is thankful for my generation he cried when he was elected.
It is hard to get by when something you dont agree with is the norm, my mom deals with those issues at work to people being vocal on race & class generaliztions she works in social issues regarding the state, you know those are things I have never had to deal with in the work place never once at work have I ever heard any derogatory remarks.

Here is an observation to think about MIL has a pic of Mariah Carey on her fridge from when she baught one of her rare breed pups, not going to say which dog association they belong to, Im no Mariah Carey.
I dont see her repeating what her parents called tigers eye flowers, maybe it was a misunderstanding who knows, its just why repeat it. If I repeat something someone said then that would label me as rascist.

Ill repeat myself what point did you prove, that people cant type without being immature. Do yourself a favor in real life if you have a disagreement with someone think of 3 points good & bad about that person, then look at the bad points & question does any of that reflect things I dont like about myself & you would be suprised.

Haha, now, now! She doesn't name call, or have any point to prove. She's humble, caring, and kind, she just needs to tell the world of her accomplishments. She needs the world to know who she knows and what she's done because she's very insecure with herself. She has given us "words" of wisdom, and we need to start doing a little self reflecting, because we act like WE know it all.

I saw the costumes some of the costumes that I have done for other people the materials cost at least 300 dollars, I would never spend that much on a dress myself. Congrats on your masters, as for some people I know alot of people that didnt have the oppurtunity to go to college & they are pobably smarter than some of those that did & I can think of alot of people much more deserving of an education than some people I met there. The department of education is actually footing my bill. My grandmother paid for my dorm my parents at the time couldnt afford it. I see so many people struggling with student loans. No complaints here.

If someone wants an education bad enough, there are definitely ways they can manage it. Student loans aren't that bad, and are pretty much willing to work with you if you take the time to contact them. They can't help you if you are struggling unless you tell them so. They have so many ways to make it possible to pay back your loans without going over your head to pay them back. Good for you that you don't have loans to pay back. Good for you that your granny could cover it. If you're so eager to help the world, why don't you find the time to help those that you deem deserving of an education find a way to make it possible. That's the awesome thing about living in the states, there are so many ways to be able to accomplish your dreams if you just take the time to figure out the avenue you need to take.

well I didnt know my life was that interesting. I dont think making fun of people is enertaining & I hope you dont teach your kids that. Go watch soap operas & talk shows.
