Best time to visit San Diego?
We are thinking about our family vacation for next year and want to
visit the San Diego area. We will be traveling with an 18 month old
and would like to visit the zoo and Sea World. We are up for traveling
at any time next spring/summer/fall/winter. We would be staying for 6-7 days. What is the best time of
year to visit? The best place to stay? Should we rent a place through
vrbo.com or get a hotel room? Help!
Re: Best time to visit San Diego?
Not May (May Gray) or June (June Gloom). late July/Aug/Sept are great but our weather is pretty good year around. Right now it's pretty chilly though.
You probably can find something here. http://www.readerrentals.com/
VRBO is usually a good option in general. South Mission has a lot of good beach houses. Hotel vs a rental are such different options.
La Jolla-expensive but gorgeous
S Mission-great little beach homes
Mission Valley/Hotel Circle-nothing exciting about this area, but inexpensive hotels and central to the beach, Sea World, mall etc
Downtown-maybe you could priceline a hotel here. There are tons of great restaurants downtown but you'll need a rental car in general and parking could add up quickly.
I've always wanted to stay in one of these cottages in Pacific Beach http://www.crystalpier.com/
Good luck!
