IMEI ?
Hi, I'm a lurker. I sold an unused phone on eBay (still in the box) and I'm shipping it to the buyer tomorrow. The buyer sent me a message and asked for the IMEI number before I sealed the package. I know what an IMEI number is and all, but I'm not sure why he would be asking me for it. Is he trying to unlock the phone and use it on another network or something? I'm just curious.

Probably. But I'm not sure I'd really care why he did it, unless the phone could be tracked to me.
But if I had sold him the phone, and the sale was completed and final, I wouldn't really care.
