Did your Time Warner bill skyrocket?
$60 more dollars...no added services??
ugh.
Re: Did your Time Warner bill skyrocket?
Really?!?!? Ours went up $60 as well... but I thought that was bc I had been with them for exactly a year... and after a year they raise prices (which I will totally argue and get down.)?
Sooo... what's everyone paying for internet, phone, and cable? We were paying $118 (with 1 dvr)... probably not the best deal.... ???And we're with TWC.?
Ours went up two months in a row. (Aug and Sept). Aug was because our one year was up and it went from 128 to 156. I called and we removed some services like the two free boxes we were now paying for, along with TMC. It was supposed to be 120-ish.
Sept came and it was 180 something. Apparently they didn't really adj it and who knows what else. The CS Rep was horrible and had no explaination. I called to cancel services and now I pay 121 with tax. That is for one HD cable box, DVR, internet and phone (with US long distance).
We have Uverse for our cable and internet. Our phone is seperate because we haven't gotten the Uverse digital phone in our area just yet. We have the top tier of the cable and I'm not sure which tier on internet service, 3 boxes with one being a DVR and pay $110 per month.
DH worked for TW and is now with AT&T (but on the phone side). There are pros and cons to both. Like, TW has free HD while you have to pay for it with AT&T. You also only get 2 HD streams with AT&T. We've had problems where we were recording 2 shows in HD in the living room, but then not being able to watch even regular TV in another room. TW also has more HD channels than AT&T. You can have unlimited boxes with AT&T for free, but only one DVR, and TW will let you have as many DVRs as you want if you pay for them. AT&T has the preview section on the channel guide that I love. I miss my caller ID on the TV from TW though. CS is MUCH better with AT&T than TW and you don't have the long waits on the phone or to have someone come out for repairs. AT&T also doesn't use contractors to do the work, it's more expensive if you need lines run or something, but the quality is much better. TW also jacks up the prices after promotion periods are over. AT&T will keep it the same (they do have some great sign-on bonuses though), but they won't negotiate as much if you call and say you're going to switch to someone else.
I've also been a Grande subscriber if anyone has questions on that service too!
