Hey there! I'm not sure what kind of cast Jos will be getting. We are really hoping that she will be able to walk in it. And that it's placed belowe her knee. Poor kid just mastered using the toilet and the splint going above her knee is giving her issues. 
The ER doc attending to her mentioned that crutches don't come that small, but I have no idea if she meant that they just didn't have them that small. It's been a trying time, having to carry her all over the place. LOL!

I can't say that I've ever seen crutches that small either---she's pretty petite! Plus, I don't know that she would be able to master the crutches at her age. So hopefully she will be able to walk! Does she still fit in an umbrella stroller?
Based on your description--does she have a greenstick fracture? That's the most common kind for kids.

Greenstick? That's the term they were using to descibe the fracture to us. Her tibia is also bent, again they used the greenstick bending description. On xrays one can clearly see 2 fractures from the side view; while a front view doesn't show a break as clearly.
Yes, we've been carting her around in her stroller. I guess it's a good thing we hadn't gotten rid of, sold, or gave it away. Ha!
