So as I have mentioned before I have terrible baby fever, but DH and I have decided to wait awhile before ttc. DH and I have a baby bucket list, I guess you could say. I saw a similar thread on the Nest main page and thought I would ask everyone here. If you are waiting to ttc what is it you feel you need/want to do before you are ready to bring a baby into the world.

Re: Bucket List (kindda)
To answer my own question:
Ours are all financially based.
1. Steady jobs with insurance
2. X amount of money in a savings account
3. Zero credit card debt
4. Purchased new car when my lease goes back in a year.
1- Deer Head Room complete (man cave). He's been working on it for over a year now. It looks great but he's a perfectionist.
2-the rest of the basement (a craft room, closet and laundry room),
Those are the biggies. Judging by how long it has taken for the Deer Head Room, I don't think it's going to happen. I'm 33 so I can't wait much longer.
I guess we should get our insurance in order also. We both have it. I'm hesitant to swich mine because it would be like getting a pay decrease. I don't think they will give me a raise in lue of insurance.
you can truley never be ready for a baby, $,insurance, house, car. its just somthing that fits its way into your your life.
babies/kids are all about unexpected times. there is no way you can plan for the next 18+ years.
you and hubby will know when that time is and GO for it
We both have pretty good stable jobs and not in too much debt other than the house and my student loans, so our major items are travel-related.
We have a pretty exhaustive list of places that we made during our HM. We still haven't decided for sure we'll have kids, but if we do, we'd definitely like to do Africa for safari, Egypt, SE Asia, Patagonia and Antarctica before kids.
