Favorite Thanksgiving food? Or, list what is on the menu if you're having it! We're having baked ham, turkey and stuffing [my mom said she wants a turduken...i hope she's kidding], green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, greens, rolls, macaroni salad, deviled eggs...I think that's it. For dessert, we're having apple pie, pumpkin pie and chocolate creme pie.
Favorite Thanksgiving dessert? My mom's chocolate creme pie. It's so good. What else will you do on Thanksgiving besides eat? sleeping. My sis and I are going to a concert in Dallas the night before and won't be back in town until 3am Thanksgiving morning. Oi. We'll be watching football and talking to my dad on Skype, too! I'm sure I'll be doing some online shopping as well.
Christmas music/decorations before Thanksgiving: yay or nay? Nope - but we put them up the day after Thanksgiving.
What are you thankful for this year? I'm thankful for SO much. I'm thankful for my little boy, my amazing husband, my fantastic parents and sister...I'm grateful for my friends [and you girls!], my job, my health [and sanity]...and so much more.
Good poll, Holly!
What are your plans?
We're hosting my parents, my sister/BIL and nephews, my sisters IL's, and possibly my grandmother/aunt/her bf, OR my great uncle/his son/wife/kid, or none of them
I kind of want it smaller...
Favorite Thanksgiving food? Or, list what is on the menu if you're having it!
J is going to do the turkey, I think he's brining it...Mashed potatoes, probably 2 dressings/stuffings- mine and his; his is cornbread, mine is traditional bread, homemade cranberry sauce, creamed spinach, Sweet potato casserole- I want the recipe from BIL, maybe macaroni and cheese, definitely another green...apps: pesto torta, maybe mini tartlettes (not sure what the fillings will be since I cannot have feta or goatcheese, and that's what I usually use..hmph...I think cream cheese/artichoke/spinach type of thing. Probably will do things like potato puff pastry/hotdogs in a blanket.
Dessert - I'll make pumpkin pie or pumpkin cheese cake and my mom is bringing pecan pie.
Favorite Thanksgiving dessert? It's a tie- I love a good pumpkin pie, but my moms pecan pie is pretty tasty,
What else will you do on Thanksgiving besides eat? Sleep. Football.
Christmas music/decorations before Thanksgiving: yay or nay? Nope, not Xmas decor in our house...but Hanukkah starts like 4 days after Thanksgiving...I can't believe it.
What are you thankful for this year? Health, Happiness, Family, Friends...sleep...because I don't think I will ever sleep the same ever again!!!
What are your plans?
We're driving the long ten minute drive to C's parents to join up to 29 adults and 9 little ones..apparently in these parts whoever hosts Thanksgiving invites both sides of the family? So his mom has only a brother and her parents but his dad has the other 20 people.
Favorite Thanksgiving food? Or, list what is on the menu if you're having it!
We're bringing green bean casserole, but it's not my favorite. I like it all, mixed together on my plate- one of the few times I mix my food, but I love it!
Favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Multiple kinds of pie!
What else will you do on Thanksgiving besides eat? Play with the tykes...try and watch football but there won't be a lot of room...avoid C's grandpa getting in arguments with the in-laws about farming..oh Lord.
Christmas music/decorations before Thanksgiving: yay or nay? C is a staunch no-Christmas until after Thanksgiving so we will be doing all our decorating the day after, when I get home from work I presume.
What are you thankful for this year? My baby, my husband, my family in general, having enough.Christmas music/decorations before Thanksgiving: yay or nay? Nay.
What are you thankful for this year? I hate this question. It's too sappy for me. I'm generally thankful for lots of little stuff, but I thank the relevant people as things happen and then forget about it.

Christmas music/decorations before Thanksgiving: yay or nay???yay! I've been listening to Christmas music for a few days now. I've been listening to it in the car and at work. I just turned it on at home yesterday. We haven't pulled out any decorations yet, but I wanna put the garland on the stair rail and fireplace this week! Then, get the tree when the place opens near our house. I'm patiently waiting. I can't wait to see my baby boy's reaction to everything.
What are you thankful for this year? ?I am thankful for hubby, baby, our house, my family, and all that God has and continues to bless us with!
Favorite Thanksgiving food? Or, list what is on the menu if you're having it! The traditional Thanksgiving fare. My mom makes THE best dressing (it's like stuffing but not cooked in the bird for you yankees ;-) ) in the world and it's my favorite part of the holiday seasons. Well, that and cheesecake. LOL
Favorite Thanksgiving dessert? CheesecakeWhat else will you do on Thanksgiving besides eat?Probably not much of anything since we have to run all over Houston that day. That is probably the one thing about being married I wish I could change ... I hate having to split holidays and run all over God's creation for them.
