Salsa recipe

Here's the salsa recipe girls. Sorry it took me a few days to get around to posting this.

1 tall jar jalapeno peppers (we like Mazzaretti's), drained (save the juice)

1/4 bunch cilantro

1 - 28 oz can whole tomatoes

2 TB dried oregano

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 medium white onion, chopped

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

1 TB minced dried onion

Puree jalapenos and cilantro in a blender or food processor. Pour into a bowl.

Add tomatoes into blender and pulse just until broken up. Add to jalapeno mixture.

Add remaining ingredients to jalapeno/tomato mixute and mix well.

Add jalapeno juice as needed to get to desired consistency. This makes a large batch and is moderately spicy. You can substitute some of the jalapenos for other chiles to make it spicier, or you can find jars of "tamed" jalapenos to make it milder. You could also reduce the amount of jalapenos.

Enjoy!
