Just had to buy a new cell phone

DH decided to "help" me with the laundry today and washed my jeans that I wore yesterday. Well, he didn't realized that my cell was in my back pocket and I forgot to get it out last night when I got in my pjs. When he put the clothes in the dryer we heard a nasty knocking but didn't think about it since we knew there were jeans and other heavy clothes in the load. I realized at 5pm I still didn't have my jeans, and found it in the dryer. I am driving to Grass Valley at 6am tomorrow morning for Lions stuff so I need a phone in case something happens. I went to Verizon and had to buy a new phone. I got home and stuck it in the rice container. I am praying that the phone dries out enough that they can retrieve my contacts and pictures. Right now, I have no contacts, and no pictures of Emmalee.

You must have a light cell phone that he didn't feel the weight! Always check pockets, DH! I hope they can get your contacts and stuff off.

My H did that once while we were dating. I put my cell phone in my jacket and forgot it was there. We were at his parents house doing laundry (we were in college) and when my jacket came out of the washer he noticed my cell phone was in my pocket. I've had insurance on my phone ever since. I have Verizon too and they have this thing called online back up. You can have them set it up for you at the store or create an account online. It's a total life saver. I've gone through two of my current phone and I haven't lost any of my contacts because of online back up.
