As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Nook Color
Is it worth the extra money? Also, what makes a Nook or Kindle different than a Sony eReader or any other off name brand that you could buy in Kohls or Bed Bath and Beyond? TIA

I'd say the Nook color is only worth it if you intend to read a lot of magazines or children's books with pictures on it.
Otherwise it'll be black and white text anyway.
There are some feature differences -- you'd have to google them to find out what, specifically -- but basically the Nook and Kindle are just the most popular. And since they're both backed by bookstores, that makes sense.
