gifts for your dad

I am totally stumped on what to get my dad this year.

What are you getting?  I need some inspiration!

  • Part of my dad's gift this year will be an electric wine opener (we have one made by Oster and LOVE it!) He had a hand crank one right now, but he breaks them all the time.

Sweaters? Movies? Gift cards for an activity he loves to do? Family photos?

  • Parents are super hard to buy for I think. No idea what we're going to get FIL this year - probably some clothes.

My parents have said that they don't want anything but we're probably just going to get them a gift card for dinner and the movies.

  • Thanks for the suggestions.  Dads are so hard to shop for.  I think I may go the restaurant gift card route.  Then my mom gets something out of the deal too!

  • i usually get my dad either a nice book or a dvd from a tv series that he loves. especially with all the time he's spending in chemo and just sitting at home because he's not feeling well, those sorts of things work well to take up his down-time.
