XP: UGGS -where to find cheaper?
In my family, we picked names out of a hat and I got my SIL. The gift limit is $100. I'd like to buy a pair of Black Classic Short UGGS for her, but it seems like the going rate for the UGGS is $140.
Does anyone know where I can get
them cheaper? I've seen "outlet" stores, but can't figure out if they
are legit or not. Also, I'm nervous buying from an obscure retailer
with no reviews.
TIA
Re: XP: UGGS -where to find cheaper?
This. Although, my size is not as big a difference. I wear a 7 in most shoes, and I fit in a Big Kid 6, which is the largest kids size.
Check amazon.
I thought about this, but I was worried about them being too narrow. She is petite as well, but also pregnant. I currently have a women's 5 and was thinking of buying a new pair in kids for myself too. My northface snowboots are kids, but are too narrow.
I also have Bearpaw boots (they look a lot like Uggs). I got a tall black pair that I wear constantly during the winter (I have had them since winter of 2007). I just had to buy an insert footpad at some point to replace the fur on the bottom that wore down, but they're still as good as new. I think the insert is by Ugg and cost $20 on ebay.
I also have a short brown pair of Bearpaws that I don't wear as often, simply because they're shorter and don't keep my legs as warm.
Another brand to check out is "Emu"...very warm and very similar to Ugg. I bought a pair of slippers on Amazon that are PERFECT.
A tip for you (or your sister!): Buy a water-proofer and spray the boots before wearing them outside. Makes a world of difference. Also, if you're unfamiliar with fur-lined boots, you're not supposed to wear socks with them; the sheep fur is warm enough that you don't need socks (I can vouch from this being from WI, I don't wear socks with them and am totally fine, even outside in the cold weather.)
