Dishwashers
I am getting my parents one for Christmas. Anyone have recent experience buying them? Are the $200 Amana and White Westinghouse ones from Sears and Home Depot ok?

I was going to say "Get a Bosch" but I don't think they are $200.
My only experience lately is picking them out for our clients who have major bucks. Sawwy.
Well, let me just say this. For whatever reason, the dishwasher in the house I grew up in never worked (I have no clue why) and my mom washed the dishes by hand. When I was about 10, the man my mom was dating got her a dishwasher for x'mas. Dude, she was PISSED. I mean, literally, stomped around angry the entire day. She was none too pleased w/ a practical gift. I remember thinking, "holy crap! That's awesome! I hate washing dishes!" I couldn't understand her issue.
I just want you to keep this mind. But, my mom is crazy, so you know.. there's that.
