XBOX 360 4g or 250g

DH has been wanting an XBox for Christmas.  Is it worth the extra money for the 250g?  I am sorry if this a dumb question but why would one need the 250g?

Re: XBOX 360 4g or 250g

  • Yes it is worth it.  DH has his 120 gb one almost full - he has to remove some of the transferred games to get other ones to play.  He will be getting the 250 gb one, when his current one dies.  It is one of the original ones, he upgraded the harddrive a few years ago. While you can add flash memory USB sticks later - it is cheaper to just spend the $100 now and not have to worry about it and ensure that all of the games work properly.

1- the 4 GB is internal flash memory, not a true hard drive, it throws errors on some games about not being a certified hard drive.. The main one with the issue is Halo Reach, you can not play the online campaign without a real hard drive.

2- Some games you have to transfer parts from one disc onto the hard drive and then put in the second disc to even get the thing to play.

3-Download able levels for the games take up a LOT of space.

4-You can transfer some of the games to the hard drive and they play faster.

    5-Downloadable games from the arcade

  • what above poster said.  pcconnectionexpress.com has the 250gb at 299.95, free shipping, no tax (depending on state) right now.

  • Completely worth it to get a 250g. Not only for game saves or online game installs, but there are also updates that take space. In my opinion, they should have never sold the 4G because you can't really do much on it.
