Moms and Christmas....

What do you tell people when they ask what you child wants for Christmas? My parents know (they help with the big stuff) but H's mom always asks and I never know what to tell her. His sister has 3 kids and she has already bought for them but she calls me to ask what to get DD. A...I don't know the budget nor do I want to ask. B...DD is a spoiled kid she has everything. I know the "big stuff we are getting her but other than that I am not sure.

This year, I hope people get Aiden more books. He needs more story books. And clothes. lol We don't have a ton of room more a lot more toys. We are getting him a play kitchen with toy food and maybe some toy story toys. No one really ever asks us what Aiden wants though lol. They just buy him what they want to

Give them a couple of options.  Go for something that is under $25, under $50 and under $100.  If they want to spend more they can get more than one thing and if they are on a budget they will select the item that works best for them.  I see nothing wrong with them asking what you want or need for Christmas for your child.  They just want to be practical about it.

That's what I say. Then I tell them the only thing she (we) need is maybe a running stroller, warm weather clothes, and maybe shoes.
