Cable companies

Hi there, I'm popping over from the Cincy board. My Mom has purchased a house in south-east Indianapolis. She has two options for cable; Comcast and AT&T....anyone have any recommendations?

TIA

Re: Cable companies

  • I only have the option of Comcast where we live, but some people I know have AT&T. If we could get At&T, we would probably switch. We don't really have any issues with Comcast, but I'm itching for the option of the mutli room DVR. Comcast doesn't have anything like that yet (or at least last time I asked they didn't). I will say Comcast has given me whatever promotion they have going on if I ask so I do appreciate that. But I really want to be able to watch my DVR shows in any room or record up to 4 shows at a time which AT&T offers.
  • Nice, thanks! We were definitely leaning towards AT&T.

We have AT&T U-verse for cable & internet.  I think its pretty reasonably priced & we have had no problems with them.

  • I just got into a dispute with Comcast this week regarding our existing service...they actually made me lose my temper...which I seldom ever do.  So, we're switching to AT&T.  They're coming to our house tomorrow to hook us up.  A perk with AT&T is that they also have promotions for existing customers (unlike Comcast...they could give two craps that they're losing my business).
