Early T-Mobile upgrades?

Has anyone ever had any luck getting an early phone upgrade before you were eligible if you extended your contract?  Ours is a month away and I'm itching for the new Mytouch 4G.  I've had this BB pearl forever and I need to do a battery pull multiple times a day, it's getting very annoying.

Re: Early T-Mobile upgrades?

  • I just did an early upgrade 2 months before my contract date. My new contract date is now 2 years from the early upgrade date.

  • T-mobile upgrades DON'T coincide with the end of contract, you are eligible based on the time since your last upgrade (I think it's 18 months on a two year contract but don't hold me to that). But when you do upgrade your new contract will kick in. ie: My contract ends in Jan but I'm already eligible for an upgrade.  If I get a new phone in December my new contract will end in Dec 2012.

Just call 611 and they will tell you where you fall in your plan. I've noticed lately that the reps that I get when I call in the morning and much nicer than when I call later on.
