We want a 46in tv, the thinner the better, and I'd prefer it to be under 2,000. TIA!

Re: recommend your TV!
We just bought a 47in HD LCD flat panel Vizio from Wal Mart last weekend for $740 including tax. Thus far we love it. This past week I think we've watched more t.v. than we have in several months LOL.

Most 46" screens aren't going to cost you a thousand . . . so can you go bigger? (Can you tell I like big TV's?)
That being said, Samsung makes fabulous TV's. Their 6 series tvs are amazing. I also like Sony and Toshiba.
*Edit -- on Best Buy, you can get a Samsung LCD HDTV with 3D technology . . . all for under $1400. Crazy. You have many many options.
55" Samsung LED-LCD TV. 120hz 1080p
It retails for $2500 but we purchased for $1600. It's $1900 right now at BB
We bought this TV(but from a different store) right before Thanksgiving and so far we love it!
