New Job!
I started my job on August 22, 2008 and a couple of weeks ago, a position higher than me opened up. I decided, what the heck, and went for it. Even though I've only been there a short time, I got the job!!! I know that a couple of people will be unhappy about this, but I refused to let it stop me from trying. Now instead of working 30 hours a week, I get to be full-time and get a pay raise!

Yes, it is still with Lowes. I've gone from working 30 hours a week as a cashier to 40 hours a week as head cashier, which gives me some management power over the other cashiers.
I know at least one girl who has been there much longer than me put in for the job and was turned down. She's pregnant right now and I'm sure that the news will send her into an emotional tizzy. I find out this afternoon how much more money I'll be making, too!
