G gave me money for christmas so I bought the cricut cake, tools for it, The Vampire Diaries, Fleece, craft light and 2 CD's. I am saving the rest for my trip in January.

Re: Black Friday
I went out...to kohls. Never again LOL! The store was so packed you could barely walk through the store. They had lines wrapping around the store several times, and even lines for the escalators. We waited in line for 2 hours. I got a couple games for our nephew, and picked up something my mom saw in the ad she wanted to get. After that chaos, we were done!
Im so happy you got the cricut cake!
I went out and lost my black Friday verginity. It was not very gentle!
We decided to sleep in a little and get up at 4:45 to try to go for like 6:30. We went to home depot first b/c K really really really wanted this saw. We were able to get that for $80 and it's usually like $150. Then we saw that they had shopvacs for $28 so we got one of those too. It was not crazy there at all so we took our time and got some christmas lights and a few other little things.
Next we went to target. There were literally NO more buggies! We had to wait for someone to load up their car and then give us a buggy. Some lady even tried to take mine! by this time the check out line was ridiculous. It was almost wrapped around the entire store. We walked around and the 4 things that I wanted from there were already gone, so we just left. I was not waiting in that line for something I could get anywhere else.
Then we tried Kmart, but my friend text me that there were only 3 registers open so we turned around.
after that we headed to walmart. It was so strange! it was like a regular day! they still had tons of stuff that they advertised on sale. They had a bunch of 50" TVs left as well as other sizes. We didn't get a TV, but I did get the paula dean pot set which Im very excited about! I also got myself a sonicare tooth brush which is life changing! lol We found Luke's bike for just $29. Santa will be happy about that one. We ended up going back to walmart last night for some ornaments. They had tons of nice ones for just a $1!
I'm glad I went. I can see myself going wait out in line at 2am at target IF and only IF there was something that I really really really wanted. I'm really not into crowds or people being nasty and I might lose it if someone was ugly to be over something stupid.
Sorry this turned out so long! lol I need to go find my recipts and see how much I 'saved'! lol
Wow Tiff! I don't get people fighting over something as it is not worth it to me. Everyone that I ran into was very nice, so that was good. I have heard the stories and nothing is worth getting into a fight or even trampling people.
I think the checkout person at Target thought I was crazy because I only bought 2 DVD's and a CD (The Vampire Diaries Season 1, Blind Side and Keith Urban), when others had their buggies full.
I stayed home all day, but the stores were crazy around here!
2 guys camped out in front of Best Buy since Monday night, and we had major thunderstorms on Wednesday night and flurries on Thursday! They kept talking to them on the news throughout the week and yesterday morning. They spent over 3 hours in the store and saved over $1000 versus paying regular prices.
Black Friday shopping is a major family tradition among the women in John's family. I went with them the first year I was dating John and vowed never to go back again. It was too much for me!
I saw on FB that a girl I grew up with posted that she started shopping Thanksgiving night at 10:30 and didn't get home until 8 or 9 pm last night!
OMG! what on earth did she buy!? almost 24 hours of shopping? It that a record? lol
I used to do the all day shop-a-thon but I just can't do it anymore. I was up early with Emmy anyways, and I planned to go out but not too too early. I was at Kohls at 5am. It was busy but by the time I got to check out, I only waited 10-15 mins.
I was dreading Target because last year it was insane, but there was no one there! The parking lot was busy but there were not very many people in the store or at the front checkouts. I think they were doing checkout at the electronics area and that probably helped.
then I did Michaels and Toys r us and both of those were a breeze too.

VERY cool deals, heather!
we went shopping - but left around 9 a.m.
we didnt really have anything in mind to get and plus, guam doesnt have SUPER deals on black friday (they've only had it here for about 5 years or so.....) we got half off wrapping paper, lol!!
i'm sure there were great deals here & there - but like i said, we didnt really NEED anything (versus the one year i was in line at 3:00 a.m. to get almost 50% off on a 46" tv!!
it was neat/funny/crazy to me that when i was on facebook in the evening of black friday, you girls were posting "annnnd i'm off!" - it's very odd to see people up when it's 7pm here (i.e. 3 a.m. CST.....)
DH and I went out (it's tradition), but didn't find many deals. We went to Kohl's, but I was really disappointed in their sales, and the line was wrapped around the store, so we got out of there pretty quick.
Went to Target because I had coupons for maternity clothes and nursing bras. That place was a madhouse, but the maternity section was easy to navigate lol. Nothing I wanted was on sale, but because of my coupons, I got a maternity dress, maternity sweater, and 2 nursing bras for $35!
The best deal I got was online - DH and I are going to cloth diaper (to save money), and we got 20% off our order, AND a $50 in store credit (online) to use today, plus 15% off for Cyber Monday. I cannot wait to get that shipment in the mail!!!!!
