How was the body scanners at the airport? I have to fly in January and just wondering.

They have them at the Seattle airport, but when we went through, not everyone had to go through them. They seemed to be picking random people to go through the scanners, but both DH and I just went through the normal metal detectors. From what I saw, the scanners themselves weren't bad, but more than half the people I saw go through the scanners were also then pulled aside for the patdown.
The patdowns I saw also weren't really that bad. They were definitely more "touchy" than what I remember having done before, but they weren't as bad as what I've read about. It also seemed to be different depending on the clothes. For example, a girl wearing skintight jeans didn't seem to be patted down quite as "thoroughly" as an older man wearing pleated (and therefore baggy) khakis.
