I work with adults, right? So why would upper mgmt think I need to send an email to tell people what time to leave our office for an offsite meeting?
They seem to think that I should tell the staff when they should leave, how long it will take them to get to the venue, and which route they should take. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Our staff is more than capable of getting themselves from point A to Point B. I really don't want to insult their intelligence by telling them to leave a half hour earlier to 'avoid' traffic. If they can't figure out when to leave and how to get there on time(barring any traffic issues), it's not my responsibility.
Am I being totally unreasonable and nutso? This place has completely exhausted me in the last month or so, so it could very well be that. Of course I'll send the email(because my boss asked me to), but it will be very carefully worded.
Thanks for 'listening'. :::::going back to my ever-growing workload:::::
