Flat irons: Sedu, CHI, FHI, or Babyliss?
My cheapie Revlon has finally bit the dust... I have heard so many wonderful things about the Sedu, CHI, FHI, and Babyliss brands.
I have A LOT of thick hair, so I'm looking for something that will quickly do its job (not having to go over a section of hair multiple times) and not pull my hair (and still have a great shine/luster).
If you recommend one brand over the other, could you also let me know the name of the model? (For example: Sedu Revolution, Sedu Ionic, etc.)
Re: Flat irons: Sedu, CHI, FHI, or Babyliss?
I've had this for about 4 years. I ::LOVE:: it!

I'd go with the Sedu, I have crazy curly hair and this is by far the best straightener I've used. I just got back from getting a brazilian blowout, so I'm hoping I won't have to use it so much :-)
I've had the Chi in the past and it was crap, it shorted out within 6 months and didn't straighten nearly as good as the Sedu.
I know this isn't one of the options you listed, but I used to have a Croc and LOVED it (now I have the generic version and I think it's just as good). I like CHI, but Croc beats it, IMO. I actually just recommended this in another thread below, and since I'm feeling lazy I'm just going to copy and paste what I told the other poster, lol:
I don't see many rec's on here for this brand, but I had a Croc and looooved it. It's what my hair stylist uses at the salon and she raves about it also. Mine ended up breaking though (my fault...not the Croc's!) and since Crocs are super expensive (around $120) and couldn't afford to buy another one at the time, I ended up going with the generic brand at Sally's and it's a rival to the Croc--it's called a Gator (LOL at Croc vs. Gator). It was half the price...only 60 bucks! It's very similar, works great, and I love it! I'm so glad I didn't spend the extra money the second time around.
I went through 2 CHIs in 3 years. They kept shorting out where the cord met the iron. I've had an FHI for over 2 years now, and I love it. I don't remember the model.
I also tried a Sedu, but I think mine was defective b/c it kept catching my hair between the plastic and the plates. I also didn't like the clamping action - idk, it felt weak/loose, so I sent it back and got the FHI.
