Yankee swap ideas please!

So, my rather large family has decided that instead of choosing names for Christmas gifts, we are going to do a Yankee swap.

I have only ever done a swap for people who all have something in common (all women or all runners, for example).  The people involved are ages 27-46, different genders, all different interests, some own their own house in the country, city, or suburbs, one with a very small apartment in a big city (not a lot of room).  Any suggestions for a great gift that will be well-received by any and all?

 Decorative box filled with stationary (thank you notes, Christmas cards etc.)

What is your budget?  We did a few at my old job and the one thing that was a big hit was the beers from around the world box you can get at World Market.  I think it is $20.
