MIL and SFIL are gone!
The week wasn't totally horrible, but it was still a long time in such a small house.
They completely stocked up our fridge, to the point where we almost couldn't close the freezer. Lots of new clothes too. I got three shirts and three pants, Aaron got probably double that, but that is because I held back.
MIL definitely had her moments though, like when she said (for the third time) that we should have used her great niece as a flower girl when one of our two dropped out three weeks before the wedding. Aaron had only met this little girl once before our wedding.
After talking to MIL I made sure Aaron knows that while we might be alike in some ways, I will not do things like her. Specifically, she still lives her entire life for her sons, ages 29, 27, and 24 (stepson). She took me for a mani/pedi and said she hadn't gotten one since the wedding because she would rather use the money on her kids. The younger two still live at home and have dinner cooked by her every night. I told Aaron that when we have kids you better believe he will have the kids for a few hours alone at least once a month while I get my nails done.
All in all it wasn't horrible, but I was ready for them to leave.
