cranberry margarita
I made this for a poker party yesterday and pretty much made it up so I thought I'd share my easy recipe. I wanted somethign that didn't require blending and that I could prep in advance. I made two batches in plastic pitchers:
1 can limeade
1.5 cans tequila
2.5 cans cranberry juice
a couple shots triple sec
Mix in a plastic pitcher and put in freezer. It'll make a good slushy but won't totally freeze because of the tequila. You can always add a tad water if it's too limey or more cranberry juice.
Everyone LOVED them and loved that they were slushy! I loved that they were ready to drink up and didn't require you add ice but most of us still served them on the rocks.

Mmm this sounds good! I'm hosting a gift exchange/ugly sweater party mid-December and was looking for a drink to make/serve. I'm providing all of the food and they're bringing beer and whatever else they want. I just thought it'd be nice touch for me to make something special/different. I was going to do sangria but I really think I'm using your cranberry margarita recipe. Thanks for sharing!
