Morning ladies! Hope everyone had a great holiday and weekend. DH got the entire old mantel down and we put the 1st coat of thinset on the bricks. Then yesterday we layed out all the slate and numbered where each one will go. Next weekend is laying the hearth tile so DH can build the new mantel.
BF shopping was fun, I've got a couple things that need to go back. I am still on the hunt for another pair of jeans, I thought I had found some at Lucky, but when I got home and tried them on again, they were way too big in the thighs.
Have a great day!
Re: Morning!
Morning!
I'm stressed. My car needs a new transmission and it's a toss up between fixing it and getting a new used car. The problem is Nick needs a new car too and we want to buy a house here in the near future. I'm driving my mom's SUV this week while we figure out the issue (may just be able to repair instead of replace) and that sucker guzzles gas. BUT I am very lucky I have the option of her car to drive. She and C don't really go places.
I'm also frustrated with trying to figure out what to get Nick for Christmas, what to get the little kids in our family and what to get my co-worker secret santa. SIGH. THIS is what annoys me about gift giving season!
I think that might be all that's stressing me. I had to get it out, thanks. Oh wait, no, I'm also stressed about the fact we haven't put anything away for Campbell, I wanted to start saving for him once he was born but totally forgot until I read a post on the bump last night. How do I know how much to put away for his college/savings every month?
Morning! I am pretty sure I am getting a UTI which is super frustrating because I know that pregnancy symptoms can confuse things thankfully I have my appointment on Wednesday.
*Summer* that is a lot to have on your mind! I would be stressed too.
Hugs Summer!
As for putting money away from Campbell, if you don't want to commit to a 529 yet (although I hear the VA one is pretty good) I would just setup a DD to an account. I did that with the baby fund, it's only $25 a check right now, but it's amazing how fast it adds up b/c I never see it. We have all our savings at ING, so unless we log in there, we don't see the money when we're paying our bills from our main checking account.

Thanks girls
. Its nice to hear that others would stress too. My family's efforts in telling me "it's not worth worrying over" aren't helpful. And with these presents, Nick is like "I don't want to get them another toy, they probably have tons of toys" Okay, so what would be better? "I don't know" okay, not helpful. If it were up to him we'd think about it on 12/24.
Thanks for the reminder Shaina, I had wanted to look into the 529 thing, I'm not sure how it works, etc. I'll add that to my list
.
Since my MW is 30 minutes away and a few extra in this weather I am up early to get ready for my GD test today. I have to eat eggs this morning other wise I wouldn't be able drive, I would be shaking so much. I am giving myself 45 minutes to get there then drinking it in the car at 9:15, my appointment is at 10. That way just in case if I cant make it in I dont waste it! I am really not looking foward to drinking this stuff... because everyone tells me its so gross. But I am sure it isnt as bad as the stuff you have to take for colonospcopy ( never done it but my dad has too and I know how much he loves it! hahah) Have a good day!
I've never had a colonoscopy, but I did a "bowel prep" as the doctor called it for my lap last year. Yeah, that magnesium stuff, or whatever it is, is absolutely disgusting!!!!!! I never, ever want to drink that again. And you've got to drink 8 oz of it when you do. It's not like a quick shot of gross and it's done. Ugh!!! Awful!!!
