WTF?

So, I was just woken up by someone pounding on my door and my dogs going crazy. I get up and look out the little peep hole and there is a big guy standing on my porch with a shovel. I didn't answer... I am home by myself with the baby and I am still in PJ's and just woke up so my hair looks awful. After standing on my front porch for almost 5 min, the guy walked down the alley next to the house then went and knocked at the back door.... because my house is so big that there is no way I heard the dogs barking at the front door while he stood there forever?

Unless I am expecting someone I generally don't answer the door... I will sometimes go in the bedroom and peek out the window because I can see the driveway so I look to see if I recgonize a car.

Uhhh, creepy!!    I wonder if he was a utility worker or something?!    Either way, I wouldn't have answered either!

Yeah there are a couple of dump trucks driving around now... but still, I don't answer the door for people with shovels.

I have large barking/growling dogs, so I usually answer the door, my door is also 3/4 glass and my living room has tons of windows so I can't really sneak up to the peep hole to see who it is. Most people are so terrified of my dogs they keep the conversation to less than 30 seconds and stand as far away from the door as they can. I haven't had any of the jehovas witnesses come back to my house after the incident where my one dog tore half way through our old screen door.

Nice! You can't see in my house and my dogs are not really big enough to be scarry. Zoey thinks everyone that knocks on the front door is bringing pizza and she gets really excited so she doesn't even sound intimidating. She does have a meaner bark if someone knocks at the back door.

That is totally creepy.  The only way I'd open the door for a man holding a shovel is if I was holding my shotgun.

Creepy!  I don't answer the door either unless I'm expecting someone or I know who it is obviously.  Good call.  WTH would he then go to your back door?

I'm with hound on this one.. I answer, but only because I have two big, barking dogs.  However, my dogs are more likely to jump up and give the person kisses rather then biting them.. LOL.  I don't like that he went to your back door at all.. weird!
