Vintage/Thrift stores?

I really want to buy some stuff to revamp, but I never really thrifted in KC except for Goodwill and I'd like to get a little better quality items. Where is good to go?

If you want vintage - there's Rerun in Westport that has some great stuff - but IMO, it's not thrift-store cheap.

If you're looking for supplemental wardrobe pieces - the Junior League Resale Boutique has some great stuff - as the members are required to make donations, so if you have a good eye, you can find some designer/name brand stuff there for cheap.

I've gotten several pairs of Banana Republic jeans/pants there for less than $10 - great condition!

There is the Joyland Flea Market place in Topeka. They have so much stuff there, it's crazy. You can find stuff if you are willing to look. And the JBF consignment sale is this weekend at the Speedway. Might find some good deals there.?

H said not to go there, that a lot of the stuff they sell is stolen. I may try to drive in for the JBF consignment sale.

If you want vintage, there is Vintage Vogue on 40 Hwy in Independence. It is PACKED with amazing vintage stuff.

Do you ever watch The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo? Total trash TV, but DANG if her wardrobe is not EXCELLENT, and almost completely vintage. It has renewed my interest in vintage stuff. Sigh...

I don't get Bravo anymore. I did, however, find a blog that renewed my interest in vintage/thrift. I wish I looked as tall as her!
