My friend is having a beh-beh. This is the bedding that she is getting:

She was saying over the weekend that she was having trouble finding cute train accessories for her nursery.  I am considering making this for her as part of her shower gift, except instead of cars going over the hills it would be a train that matches the bedding:

Is that presumptuous? Should I show it to her first, and ask if she likes it, or is a surprise better?  Are baby nurseries a strictly "buy from the registry" kind of thing?  There will be a nice, registry selected item to go along with this if I do it.

I think it's really cute and I would love to receive it as a gift, especially since it seems to match her bedding really well.  I also agree with Buddha that you should make it without the name but offer to personalize it for her if that's her style.

That is a darling and wonderful gift.  Also, I don't think a gift from the registry is necessary to go with it.  I would have been thrilled with just the pictures.
