I'm well-known for my procrastination skills, so I thought I'd try to get a start on what will probably be my most difficult present. Here's the story. Amelia stays with a wonderful woman who runs a daycare out of her home. (Still can't thank you enough, Ashley.) The lady's college-aged daughter helps out a lot with Amelia the three days a week she's not at school. The whole family loves Amelia to death, and Amelia's big smiles when she sees them tells me she's pretty happy with them. My first question is: Should I get a gift for just the mom (who is technically the one I pay to take care of Amelia), the mom and the daughter, or maybe something for the whole family (the dad has been known to do small things like take Amelia outside to see the cats)? Second question is: Based on your answer for the first question what on earth should I get?! I really don't know that much about any of the family members other then the daughter is studying Sign Language at a local community college and they are fairly religious (Baptist I think?). I really have no clue.

Amelia is going to be a big sister!
The gift cert works too, and I'm sure it'd be appreciated, but I kinda like the basket idea better. I know I love gift certificates, but for me personally, I kinda like having a THING to open and look through and have fun picking apart to see what's in there.
I'm kind of a sucker for gift baskets.

I love Mrs. Prindables more than Harry & David

Jennifer - you can ask Heather what she likes too because I know she has ordered Scentsy from me before for her and she's ordered some for herself but she might have some ideas.
With that said, I like the gift basket thing. You could put a little something in there for all of them. For the girl in college - a gas giftcard. Not sure what school she's at or if she'd like something with their logo (shirt, cup etc).
FYI - restaurant.com has gift certificate to La Flor's (the one in Murphy by whataburger, not downtown). If you sign up for emails, you can get them 80% off a lot of times. That would be something good and cheap to throw in if they like Mexican. (I highly recommend that place!)

A gift basket is nice- but I like the idea of a restaurant gift card, better I think.
If you do the gift basket, I would definitely get an assortment of things, only because if you don't know them too well, you don't know necessarily if they have allergies/don't eat certain things/etc.
