Every year I decorate my Christmas tree a little differently. I use ribbon as garland which is easy enough to change (the previous year's ribbon becomes this year's present wrapping ribbon) and then I rotate out which ball ornaments go up based on color. We usually put up the "regular" ornaments but every year the tree looks different. Which means it's not a bore to put up. ^_^
Anyway - so I asked my DH what he thought this year's theme should be - I've picked the last three. He says "how about a tiger theme?"
O_O <-- me
"Um, what does that mean?"
"Oh, you'll figure out something. Just make it tiger-ish."
So ladies- any suggestions without going too "Jungle Fever" on my nice Evergreen tree this year? For the record, I already found red tiger striped ribbon...
Please and Thank you!
Re: Hubby picked the theme this year...
Check out Pier 1 for maybe a few special ones, they have some glittery safari ornanments.
And I would do colors that make you think jungle, like dark green and copper/bronze round ornaments from Target or Walmart.
I just bought the zebra capriz balls and the little leopard jeep. They were out of the cheetah balls though... the neat thing is that they are a shell finish though.
I was thinking with the red ribbon of leaning toward the bronzes, golds, and coppers with white and black....
Thanks for the suggestions! ^_^
I love the fact that you asked you DH and he actually had an opinion! Although, good luck with the "tiger-ish" theme... Sometimes it might be better for us not to ask... he, he, he.... (Just kidding.)
If you have the red tiger stripped ribbon, I would make the theme the red. Find some different kinds of red Christmas balls and then a few of the pier one style ornaments. It could be very cute.
Good luck and have fun!
