I actually don't own any stockings, but have thought about buying some this year. I have the perfect place to hang them even though we don't have a fireplace in the new apt.
I will probably just buy chapstick for him, candy & other things I can find while I am out and about.
This will be our first year doing stockings for each other. Someone my dad works with made us really cute stockings with our names on them as a wedding gift. I was just planning on hanging them because my mom does huge stockings for everyone, but H wanted to do our own so we are each taking $20 and buying a few little things for each other. I think it will be really fun.
ETA: My favorite stocking stuffer is probably the chocolate orange that I get from my mom. I only eat one a year.
we do stockings every year (actually i do them for both of us). this year, so far i'm putting things like gum and candy, scratch tickets, a really small fishing box, weird hot sauce, a new toothbrush, and maybe an ornament in H's stocking. and i'll have to see what else i can find.
i loved doing stockings with my family. i can't think of a favorite stocking stuffer though, it was usually different every year.
