flat-rate shipping

really isn't that great of a deal. A small flat-rate box shipping is $4.75 here. Not bad, but a certain someone's gift wouldn't fit. The medium flat-rate box shipping is almost $11!! You can get a regular box that fits a certain thing or two just fine for a whole lot cheaper. Just pack it and weigh it...mine was like $3 less than the medium flat-rate box.

I went in expecting an awesome deal with how much they're advertising it. I'm not impressed. Just sayin'.

Re: flat-rate shipping

  • Interesting, good to know! I almost always just ship everything from work with our scale and stamp machine (and pay work) but since I'm off Fri. I might have gone there. Although mine won't require a big box.

  • Yeah the flat rate shipping is only good if they fit in the box or I use it a lot for selling on ebay b/c it's just easier.

I had to go to the PO yesterday to get stamps and I noticed the boxes and costs and figured, I'll just save a box from one of the things I ordered and use that to send my elf her gift.

  • I am having a brain fart....is the flat rate shipping with UPS, Fedex or US Mail?  My gift for my secret santa is small but heavy so that might be a great deal.  I guess I could just google that.....

US mail.  yeah if it is heavy it might be good to use the flat rate shipping.

  • I always found that buying my own box from Staples and paying shipped at the post office was cheaper.

  • I think it is only a good deal if you have something that is really heavy.
    I heart Ben!!
