PIP what you'd like to get for Christmas
So I can steal some ideas
My family and DH want ideas for what to get me, but my birthday was only about a month ago and I pretty much got everything I wanted then. Not sure what to tell them besides gift cards to crafty places, which is boring.
I did ask for this on a whim while cooking some stuff for Thanksgiving (it's a Le Creuset dutch oven):
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: PIP what you'd like to get for Christmas
I love my Le Creuset! (I got it for free for testing a recipe for the Nest!)... the cuisinart brand is really nice too and a lot less expensive (available at Home Goods/ Marshalls) in case you don't get it and want to treat yourself to one.
I really want this and won't get it because we aren't doing gifts this year:
Thanks for the Cuisinart tip. I've always heard the Le Creuset name thrown around as the best brand but don't really know any others.
Is that the Rebel you posted? DH is in the process of deciding whether to commit to Canon or Nikon. I was going to get him some accessories for Christmas but can't do that until he picks a brand--grrr!
Yup, I really want one
... There are some accessories that fit both canon & nikon (like certain lenses and flashes). It probaby makes sense to wait to see which one he picks though!
I think Le Creuset will last forever... the lower priced ones probably won't last as long but I think certain brands would last longer than others.
I have seen a bunch of these in Marshall's lately, both round and oval. I'm on the south shore but was thinking of stopping by Marshall's later, I'll let you know if I still see them.
As for the camera, we have a canon t1i that I LOVE and wouldn't change for the world...
My DH has the Rebel and we love it! We splurged for an extra lens (portrait) and it has been worth every penny. Instead of sinking a lot of money into a professional photography session every 6 months for the baby, we thought this would be a better use of money. It takes beautiful shots with very little effort. We had one of the higher end Lumix cameras before and there isn't any comparison.
This is what I really want for the holidays, but I have to keep dreaming!
Outrageously priced flat iron
I'd love to get this so that I can accurately time my splits. That and some new running gloves.
I want way too many things this year. I want a Kitchen Aid mixer, a new lap top (DH was able to repair the one I thought was broken beyond repair due to doggie damage,) new boots, more sewing stuff, new perfume, and botox.
A new phone is at the top of my wish list this year, interested in getting an iphone
