Just saw that you're hoping to go to the Chick-Fil-A bowl this year. Have you ever been?
It's SOOO much fun and you will have a blast! Will you be able to come in town early and be there for the whole day? There is a parade earlier in the day (for the Chick-Fil-A bowl) and it's really fun - both team's marching bands are in it, lots of Chick-Fil-A cows haha, etc. It's just a lot of fun to get you pumped up for the game. They usually do a special fan-fest thing too, and I think tickets are like $10 each (on top of your game ticket). There are lots of games, prizes, etc.

Yeah we went in 1998 and I remember it being so much fun. We will more than likely leave that thursday night we both have to work that thursday. i am excited we all feel very confident that we will get that bowl.
we know there is a hotel that is close to the stadium that has like a transit to the game (we stayed there in 98) do you happen to know the name of the hotel?
There are tons of hotels within safe walking distance to the GA Dome, but the one that is literally across the street (not even a street - more like a common area) is The Omni Hotel - attached to the CNN Center. I believe they are the sponsor hotel of the bowl game. They are usually pretty pricey, but it is a nice, safe, clean hotel in a good area.
I would imagine any hotel in the area would have a transit to the game (or are close to a MARTA station so you can take the train).
