Alison was a little intense for me, but I really liked the first song (I closed the window and can't remember the name -- it was like Anticipation or something?).  My first thoughts when I heard it was, "Wow, Katie's H actually has talent and isn't just some hack who is clinging to his dream of being a bigtime rockstar!"  That's a huge compliment, btw.

the one you liked was probably 'ashamed'.

you are in luck! that version of Alison is "heavy" and there is an acoustic mellow version that is very pretty. i prefer that one.
