Yankee swap ideas

Our YS last year was so boring, everyone went home with their own gifts. A few years ago it was so fun. I remember catch phase was one of the hot gifts that kept going around. We spend $25.00 on a gift. Any suggestions on a fun gift?

  • Wine always goes over well.  Gag gifts can be fun.  Movie tickets.  Fancy chocolates.
  • Do you have a home good or marshalls/tj maxx near you? I just came back with so many gift ideas! I got a cute christmas bowl for $3 filled it with a coffee grinder, some whole bean gourmet coffees (so they have something to grind) and some cute biscottis covered in chocolate. I will wrap it all up and put a bow around it and it looks like a cute gourmet coffee gift for around $25! I'm pretty excited about it. If people aren't coffee drinkers you could always do tea, hot chocolate, etc.
  • In my family most of the men work construction, so tools are always a big hit for them
  • We always do this at our party and its always silly gifts. Last year I got a box of Franzia ( the cheap wine that comes in a box) and some condoms

  • Last year we did an As Seen on TV swap with DH's family.  It was hilarious!  We had a $25 limit, which was probably too much in retrospect :)

This year we are doing a re-gifting swap.  So we have to wrap something that we already own - most likely gag gifts.  I am looking forward to it.  We don't do it for the gifts per se, just the fun of the swap is enough.
