decorating advise

I have a shelf that is white. I was thinking of hanging it on the bare wall in the baby's room. The trim in the room is white but the furniture is all dark (espresso). Would it go? The walls are green and the border around the room is white and brown dots, if that helps.

As I'm picturing it, I'm not sure it would go. Could you paint it with the dots to match your border? That would be cute. Do you have pictures??

I really don't think that people are going to notice.  It sounds as though it will match almost everything, but the furniture. Odds are people are going to not notice the white shelf but notice the cute little baby.

I think it would go! Since it's on the wall it would go really nicely with the trim, not to mention the bedding. What are you planning to put on the shelf? If you're really concerned maybe you could pop an espresso picture frame on there.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the idea of the picture frame. I will post some pics tonight for those needing a visual.
