Dog Park Meet up?

Hi, I am new to the boards as most of you know-but would love to meet everyone.  I noticed many of you have dogs.  Have you ever done a dog park meet up?  I think it would be fun!

Re: Dog Park Meet up?

  • I haven't done one through this site, but I belong to another dog networking site (yes, I do realize most people think I am crazy) for a few years now, and I have done some doggy park play dates with people I have meet through there.

  • I know we had discussed doing one a few months back, but I don't know if it every happened. I won't be going because my little dog is not friendly.

  • While I would love to and Buster would love all of you ladies he unfortunately would be less friendly with your canine companions.  He LOVES people, but is a booger with other dogs.

  • I think it's a great idea.  But you may want to specify large dogs or small dogs.  Most parks are divided that way.  And I know when I took my Golden Retriever to a dachusnd event (my other pup is a doxie) I had one woman come up to me and try to shame me for bringing my large dog along with, since many small dogs react badly around larger dogs.

  • i'd love to do this. unfortunately my english bulldog is a total gimp and has already tore his right ACL. he can't really walk far, run much or play with other dogs or he gets gimpy again. and i'm just waiting for him to tear his other ACL.
