Secret Santa

Hi.  I need suggestions for my secret santa at work.  She requested sugar free tea.  Is all tea sugar free? My husband seemed think most tea was.  I was at the store and none said they were sugar free and some did not have sugar on the nutrition facts so I thought that was sugar free.  I don't drink tea so I wasn't sure.  Also, she wants a surprise as her "Big" gift at the end.  She likes cat items (trinkets and stuff) so I was going to look for a cat ornament.  Any other ideas?

Re: Secret Santa

  • about the tea thing: yeah, i'd say all tea (as in tea bags) is sugar free. they're all 0 calories! haha...so um, unless she wants like a case of lipton tea in bottles or something, i'd say all tea is sugar free lol

  • ditto jacqui on the sugar-freeness of tea. i dont think anything in the bags has anything but tea!

you could get her a cute cat mug (to make her tea in!) for the last gift too. i dont know where you cna get it, but one of my friends gave me one for a bridal shower gift that had the head on one side and the tail was the handle. its super cute :)

  • I would assume all tea would be sugar-free, but you know what they say about what happens when you assume...

I'd double check... you'll never know, they might add some kind of sweetener to whatever ingredients are inside the teabag for taste purposes.

  • the only other thing i can think of (about the tea issue) is that SOMETIMES (and i've only seen this once...on green and chai tea from an asian grocery store) they offer a powder to mix with the water instead of a teabag. but it looks different and not like normal tea boxes.

here is a pic of our tea:

it's really, really, good by the way haha

  • If you need other simple gift ideas (not sure how many gifts you are giving), you could give a lottery ticket, a magazine (maybe a pet/cat one), or a small picture frame.
