I could mapquest this, but...
How far of a drive is Atlanta? I know I could mapquest it, but I find the time is always a bit off and I want to know from people who have actually done it.
I'm up for my permanent residency in Australia and I'll probably have to go to an Australian embassy to finalize it all. The nearest one is Atlanta, but I may take it as an opportunity to travel someplace fun like NYC.
Sooo close to being done with immigration for a while! w00t!?
Re: I could mapquest this, but...
Ah ok..that's not bad at all. I don't think I'll be going over for a while. I just got an e-mail this morning about my application.?
They said, "...we saw that you left the country on 3 August 2008..."?
Wow. They keep tight tabs lol.?
I would weigh the cost of gas with the cost of a plane ticket somewhere fun too
ATL's not a bad trip though. There are some really fun things to do there and good restaurants!
quickest way is I-20 (I lived in ATL for 8 yrs) BUT that is the WORST traffic on that interstate..... so keep that in mind.
and yes, as pp stated, it depends on what area of town you live in (coming from B'ham)..... and keep in mind you'll be going into direct traffic of downtown ATL going to any gov't agency.
If you need help, let me know. Oh and usually 2.5 hrs - and you are crossing time zones too.
Thanks guys! I've been to Atlanta at least 6 times. My dad went to Tech and my mom went to nursing school there. That's where they met, so whenever we went to the mountains we'd stop in Atlanta and do something or stay the night (or two).?
That's also why I'm thinking I may fly to NYC, DC or Chicago. I've had very limited time in NYC and DC and have never been to Chicago..so who knows. I have the travel itch really badly right now, so anywhere would do lol.?
