Re: Clicky Poll : H / SO's Gifts

  • We never wait, we do couple gifts so we know what we will buy us as a whole.

  • I have a harder time than he does... he could wait (to receive his gifts) until valentines day if I made him!
  • We don't usually buy eachother gifts for Christmas.  And if we do, it's a family gift, such as the entertainment center I let him get a few weeks ago.
  • I'm terrible about waiting, luckily his birthday is a couple weeks before Christmas so I can give him presents then.  I've already convinced him he had to open my parent's gift to him early since it was in a card and cards may always be opened when recieved!...I just love seeing him get so happy over whatever it is he gets.

  • The past five years ago or so we've opened our gifts at midnight the night of Christmas eve, because *technically* christmas then! We get so excited it's hard to wait any longer.

Then on Christmas morning we go to SIL's house to watch DH's nephews open gifts, have coffee and cinnamon rolls.

  • This is our first married Christmas together.  Most of the presents are small, but DH is aware of his big gift because I needed his input.  He does not know the details, but he knows I got us a night at a B&B.  He helped pick a date.  His knowing is making it much easier!

  • Normally I don't have a problem, but this year I got him this leather jacket he REALLY REALLY wanted.  I bought it for him like awhile ago.  He even went back to get it at the store (I had already purchased it) and they were sold out.  He moped around about it for weeks.  It has been really hard not to surprise him with it.
