Yay Friday. This week has felt so long, I'm looking forward to the weekend.
We have a few things on the go this weekend, I want to get to the gym twice, we want to see HP, I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow and we're meeting my dad for lunch on Sunday. Somewhere in there will be work on the house and ordering our hardwood floors too. Phew.
I'm starting to realize that I've been too lax with my eating and exercising. I try to go to the gym twice a week (and usually do) but it's just not enough, combine that with a decreasing lack of self control with food (and an increase in the amount of alcohol I'm consuming) and I'm finding the scale creeping in the wrong direction. So, I'm officially recommitting. I just wanted to put that out there so you ladies can yell at me if I start slipping again.
What does everyone have on the go this weekend?

Happy Friday everyone. I'm super excited for the weekend, but honestly, I could use another work day to get all my work done. Being sick on Monday threw of my entire week. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the weekend, even though I will probably have to do some work on Sunday. Tonight I'm meeting some friends for drinks, which I'm super excited about because I haven't seen them in awhile. Tomorrow is our big Hanukah party, which I'm looking forward to, but it's going to be somewhat of a last minute scramble to get everything ready in time.

Sounds like you have a very busy weekend ahead of you, and I am right there with you on the food. I did in fact gain yesterday when I stepped on the scale, so I am looking forward to it going down over the next week.
Nothing real exciting for me this weekend. I am hoping to get a nap in at some point this weekend, and also to start Christmas shopping. It is hard to bring the boys with me to shop, so I am hoping DH will watch them for a few hours so I can have some "ME" time.
So yeah nothing exciting. Thankful that it is Friday, and ready to bust out of work already. Have a great weekend ladies.
Our weekend is centered around visiting MIL, so trying to figure out what to do with her. So far we have dinner plans for tonight, going to a play tomorrow night (the Mousetrap) and then afternoon tea booked for Sunday. WIll probably fit in a few gallery/church/musueum visits around that to fill the time. It's cold her (for her), so trying to avoid to much outdoor time.
I also hear you on the exercise/eating problem. My self-control has total gone away, and I'm actually afraid to step on the scale. I have my annual health check in a few weeks, and I know I'm not going to like the weight number. I need to do something soon.

Not much going on tonight. Tomorrow I'm supposed to be in a concert and I think I'll have to miss out AGAIN. I can't believe how slowly I'm recovering from this thing and I hope I'll have my voice back for next Sunday when we're singing in Handel's Messiah. I never realized how much I'd miss it, but I really do. But at least I'll get to listen and enjoy my choir this time, which is a rare opportunity.
Sunday is MIL's birthday and I think she mentioned something about coming to see us (we don't have time to go to Whitby because we have another rehearsal in the afternoon). We'll see if that actually happens.

I hear you raynes! I didn't get off the subway early and walk home at all last week, but I'm back on that now. It's crazy how much that makes a difference in how my pants fit.
My parents are in town this weekend too! We're going to the German Christmas Market in the Distillery District tonight, they're having dinner with us tomorrow and on Sunday we're doing brunch and a museum (the terra cotta warriors, I think).

...so pathetic considering I took Wednesday off, but sitting in this cubicle drives me mad. The days just drag....
We are meeting my dad and stepmom tonight for dinner. Breaking the news.... my dad can be kind of emotionally retarded so we are a little on edge on how the reaction will go. Deep down I know he'll be happy and excited, but I between him not knowing how to show "happy/loving" emotions and the other aspirations he has made up in his mind for me, and since he "see's" me for younger than I am (he constantly thinks I'm a yr or two younger than I am - every year!)... I'm sure it'll be a little awkward....
Nothing big planned for the wkd. Probably taking my MIL out to dinner tomrrow for her bday (which was wed) and hopefully convincing P to put up the Xmas lights outside....

Good morning. Just drinking my pumpkin coffee and trying to get through the day. Tonight is the Christmas party for my H's new job, so that should be fun. They booked it in a nice place and will apparently go all out for us. So that should be cool. Tomorrow I'm on my own for a while, so I'll probably do a run in the morning. Yesterday I entered the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler lottery, so fingers crossed (if I don't get it, I'm going to try to do the National Half-Marathon).
The rest of the weekend is the same old, same old--shopping (got to get ingredients for my Mexican cinnamon cookies, which I'm making for a cookie party), reading, errands, etc.
TGIF! I'm at work today but I'm only here for half a day. Lots to get done but my boss is out of the office so that leaves me with some time to nest. After work I'm going with a friend to see Harry Potter. Then heading over to my parent's house for my birthday dinner.
Saturday no plans except maybe to continue our Christmas shopping. It depends how much energy I have for it.
Sunday will be football and cleaning. Sunday night we're going out to dinner with friends. Should be a nice weekend with plenty to do but also plenty of downtime. Have a great weekend ladies!

Today means only 2 more weeks of school til I get a month off and I am ecstatic. On the downside, I work tonight and all day Sunday, and tomorrow will be spent cleaning and finishing up house projects before next Wednesday (that's my goal anyways).
I've been staining all the cabinets in my kitchen, so I've been doing 2 or 3 a day just to keep up and I think I'm finally halfway there.
