Germantown Area Day Care

JUST starting to look for day care. I've been putting it off b/c I'm still having a hard time with the idea of putting the little tiny baby in day care! Our first baby is due in January and I'll be going back to work at 12 weeks. Anyone have a great day care that takes infants to recommend in the Germantown area?

Re: Germantown Area Day Care

  • I took Jackson to the Suburban Preschool in the church on Appleton near Harvey Moys in Menomonee Falls. We loved it and so did he. I think it was $235/week and didn't include anything...

I use to work at Willow Creek Child care in Menomonee Falls location there is one in Germantown to. I loved working there from experience I know the Infant teachers in Menomonee Falls are awesome they are so helpful and really pay attention to the babies. Germantown I'm not sure but it's the same owners so I'm sure the teachers are just as great. Other wise I've heard great things about All about learning in Menomonee Falls I know there are a few locations. But they are really good and usually have state of the art equiptment. If you need some help let me know I've worked in day care for awhile and can help you out a bit.

  • I got a lot of good recs on MilwaukeeMoms.com.

I ended up in Brookfield since I am on that side of the Falls.  I did look everyone up on this database first.

  • I do not have children, but work out in the Menomonee Falls area with alot of moms that do have daycare aged children.

I have heard mixed reviews about All About Learning. One coworker takes her 8 month old son there, and also their 8 year old son goes there after school. She has told me that on several occassions, one of the teachers has made comments along the lines that she does not like working with infants and why do so many moms breastfeed, because then she has to give them their milk special (something to that effect). However, there are people who have had positive experiences there as well.

She goes to the one on Main St. and another coworker takes her daugther to the location on Silver Spring, west of Pilgrim Road.

  • My son attends Elm Grove Child Care, a wonderful family run center.  The family also runs a center in Men. Falls.  I would highly recommend them.

Good luck and don't delay ... I dragged my feet a little bit and our back up before we got into our current center was something we did not want because our intended back up filled up ... thankfully we didn't have to use it.

  • I just realized that the one I recommended is the same one mellytexas mentioned. Smile
