Just got married in September and was wondering what you all think of sending a photo holiday card with our wedding picture on it? I've noticed a lot of newlyweds are doing this lately and we have a friend who sent one of she, her husband, and dogs....
What do you think of holiday photo cards (particularly with wedding picture on it)....cheesey or not?
Re: Holiday Photo Cards
I love photo cards. Some people think they are only for people w/ kids, but I don't agree at all!

we did that. We've got our dog and some wedding pics. These are ours:
I love them! And shutterfly was running a sale. So I got 60 for about $8 instead of the usual $130. Right now they're doing a 30% off sale on holiday cards. They're shipping is really fast and I LOVE the cards.
I used one wedding photo, one photo from our trip to London, and one photo from our trip to Ireland on our holiday card. I used the 50 free cards promotion from Shutterfly where you blog about them and get the promo code, ad I just paid $8 for shipping: http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/
We got married eight months ago and we don't have any children. We have a cat but I didn't include his photo on the card ... but I may use his face on a sticker (maybe with a Santa hat photoshopped on him, lol) and use that on the back of the envelopes.
What? That's totally fine. We sent out a New Year's Eve card after our wedding- with a wedding photo on it. It was cute. Go for it.
i think it's a great idea. I love photo cards (and actually get mad when i open an envelope and it is NOT a photo! lol)
go for it!
This is DH & I, too.
P.S. I hope you're using your siggy pic as your Christmas photo card this year.
I love it!
I'm doing the same thing. I originally wanted someone to take a nice picture of myself, my H and SD together but could never get anything coordinated with our schedules (we have SD 2 nights a week and every other Saturday night), including times where we didn't have any family gatherings going on. We had the opportunity on Black Friday when my cousins all came back to the house, but unfortunately our tree was not yet decorated and that was my preferred background.
So instead I picked out a card on Snapfish where we could use 3 designs. For the large design I used the picture of the 3 of us on our wedding day, then for the other two a picture of H and I at my class reunion and one of SD at her birthday party.
This is exactly how I feel too! I say go for it!
