with my feet up for the next 2-3 days.
The procedure went well. I don't have any pain or any cramping.... all good signs!
This little one gave me quite the scare, however. The nurses tried to find the heartbeat while in recovery (before they sent me home). They tried 4 times.... it took 2 1/2 hours before they finally called for a sonogram. The first time, they told me that the baby may have been sluggish due to the anesthesia. Second, they told me that he/she may have been moving around too much? They gave me orange juice hoping to shake things up a little. No luck. Then they gave me 2 glasses of grape juice, and saltine crackers.... still no luck. They finally brought my mom back to me and when I saw her, I started bawling. About a minute later, the ultrasound woman got there. She quickly found the baby and said she found a heartbeat.... my tears of panic quickly turned to tears of joy... I was so hormonal, I couldn't stop crying!
So right now, everything seems to be going well. I'm trying to stay on the couch and it's been pretty easy, but DS has been napping.... so I'm not being tempted to get down and play with him.
Thank you ladies (and Chad too!) for all your kind words and prayers. You're the best!
Re: I'm back home...
How scary! But I'm glad that everything turned out OK and you're doing well. Yay for no pain!
Wow...that is pretty scary. So glad eveything went well. Take care of yourself.
Aside from all that, how have you been feeling? Have you felt any movements yet? Everyone says you can feel them sooner on your second pregnancy. Any chance the u/s tech got a shot of the sex for you???
2-3 days on the couch wont be too bad. I am on permenant bed rest....ack!
