appetizer idea needed

We're having our office party on Thursday and I'm signed up to bring some kind of appetizer. There's no over, so it needs to be something that can be served cold or at room temperature. Any ideas?

Re: appetizer idea needed

  • Do you have a crock pot?  If so, I'd suggest swedish meatballs.  These are always a hit at my office and people love to have something warm since we also don't have an oven.  I just combine frozen meatballs, grape jelly and chili sauce.  Weird ingredients but they are super yummy!

Otherwise, what about spinach dip either in a bread bowl or served with veggies or both?

  • I dont know if you consider pasta salad an appetizer, but that is an option.  Or pepperoni/cheese/cracker tray, homemade chicken salad and crackers tray..If you have access to take a crock pot, i like different dips or meatballs. I have used the previous posts meatball recipe.
  • Green bean feta salad is good served cold.

  • Pinwheels are easy & served cold. I make mine by mixing room temp. cream cheese, Italian salad dressing seasoning (dry packet), finely choppped red pepper and green onions. Spread that on the tortillas, top with a bit of shredded cheese & deli meat and roll tightly. Let them sit in the fridge for an hour before slicing to let the cream cheese harden.

I second this... I *LOVE* these. In fact, I think I'm going to make a bunch for dinner and just eat them lol. They make GREAT appetizers :)

Really!?  We use Ranch seasoning - the dry packet(mixed with a package of cream cheese) in our pinwheels and just spread over tortillas and add deli meat.  I am going to try your version!!  Sounds yummie!
