Does anyone know about the Scentsy products? Their website says they use phthalate free fragrances in the paraffin based wax bars that their warmers melt. I guess I'm curious if that is true (I thought the only way you could get phthalate-free fragrances were when they are from essential oils, which the website says the only use in some products), and if there is anything else I should worry about in terms of toxins. I'm not chemically sensitive but I try to avoid fragrances in general and plasticizers. (My little sister gave me a warmer and some waxes for my birthday, so I'm hesitantly trying it out.)
Thanks!
Re: Scentsy?
Katie Talks About...
I was given one as a gift. I used part of the wax thing that was with it, and it was too overwhelming for my nose. I prefer soy. I have experimented with making my own soy candles, so when I do that I pour some of the wax into the scentsy thing and use it that way. That way I can use EO of my choice and know that there isn't other crud in it.
As pp mentioned, one downside is having to use electricity to burn it. It does make my soy wax last longer though. Burning the candles seems to go pretty fast.
