Visiting Chicago -recs

Hello! I'm coming to Chicago to run the marathon and had two questions. I am extending my weekend so that I can see some of the city (never been). Are there any places I MUST go while I'm there -- sightseeing or fun restaurants or bars? I love a bit of everything -- museums, music, historical sites. Also, I would like to get a massage after the race and book my appt. now. Any recs? I'll be staying at the Amalfi hotel, so somewhere around Magnificent Mile would be great. Thanks!

Re: Visiting Chicago -recs

  • You for sure need to get Chicago pizza, Pizzeria Uno & Due are close to where you'll be. ?I'd skip Navy Pier as far as sightseeing, it's overrated!

    ?

  • Thanks for the heads up!
  • Gino's east pizza is way better...they are by Chicago and Michigan Avenue.  You can also try to get a museum pass...its like $55 but if you want to go to the art institute and field museum and some other places then its worth it.  I dont think the Navy Pier is over rated.  Heck, its your first time.  I think the Sears tower is over rated unless its a clear day and even then I was like OK, seen it, lets go.

Check out Rush street for the bars, etc.  have fun.
